Wet Acid Gas Scrubbers

ServoTech Industries and Amerair Industries manufacture custom designed packed tower scrubbers for power and steam generation, chemical, mining, petrochemical, and many specialized industries.
Often installed as "polishing scrubbers" at the tail end of baghouse or precipitator to reduce emission of SO2 and HCI to below 3 ppmv. Vertical to horizontal flow containing one or more gas/liquid contact stages. A stage can either be a spray zone or a packed bed section.
For high tempreture scenario, pre-conditioning sprays quench the gas before entering the packed bed. This prevents a wet/dry interface in the packing, protects scrubber equipment and improves performance.
A spray/packed scrubber is the most efficient acid gas absorber design for the pressure drop (1 to 6 inches w.g.).
